Vidhana Soudha: A magnificent building of the Neo-Dravidian style ,houses the State Legislature. It was conceived and executed by Kengal Hanumanthaiah, the former Chief Minister of Karnataka in 1956.

Bangalore Palace: Modelled on the lines of the Windsor Castle in England, the Bangalore Palace flaunts turreted parapets, battlements, fortified towers, and arches. Entry to the palace is restricted. The palace is owned by the royal family of Wodeyars

Attara Kacheri (High Court): "Eighteen offices" is the literal meaning of this very elegant two storied building facing Vidhana far from there is the sprawling Cubbon Park, Vishveshwarajap Museum of Science and Technology and Venkatappa Art Gallery.
Lalbagh Gardens: This expanse of greenery is one of India's most beautiful botanical gardens. It was laid out by Hyder Ali and Tippu Sultan in the 18th century, Within the Gardens there is a beautiful lake with a water spread area of 1.5 Sq.Kms dotted with picturesque tiny islands. It is a good picnic spot.
Cubbon Park: This beautiful park, which spreads over 300 acres in the heart of the city, serves as the lung space of the evergrowing Banglore city. Designed by Lt. General Sir Mark Cubbon, in 1864, is dotted with beautiful statues, flowering trees, fountains and a library its midst.
Cariappa Park: Preserved by the army this verdant green park of 22 acres is situated next to parade ground.
The Government Museum: One of the oldest museums in the country, established in 1886, has a unique collection of sculptures, inscriptions, paintings, icons and also some relics from Mohenjodaro.
Visweswaraiah Industrial & Technological Museum: This museum is tribute to Sir. M. Vishweswaraiah the Architect of modern Karnataka, a must see for students and Science buffs, Which presents the amazing wealth of modern science.
Venkatappa Art Gallery: The Art Gallery has a permanent display of paintings and sculpture by the renowned artist K.Venkatappa.
Karnataka Folk Museum: The Karnataka janapada trust manages this museum where many rare masks, artifacts and costumes are displayed. It also boasts of an impressive collection of folk music and videos of folk dances. It is located at Kumara Park West, Sheshadripuram.
Aquarium: A variety of exotic fishes are the attraction in this diamond shaped Aquarium, which is at the enterance of the Cubbon Park.
Jawahar Bal Bhavan: A children's theatre, an amusement park and a toy train are the main attractions here. Closed on Mondays and second Tuesdays of the month.
Bull Temple (Dodda Basavanna Temple): The gigantic image of the celestial bull, Nandi, which stands at 4.57 meters. in height, is a classic example of Dravidian architecture. A yearly festival to celebrate the harvesting of peanuts, (Kallekai parse) is held here during the month of Nov-Dec. which attracts large crowds from all over the state.
Raagi Gudda Sri Prasanna Anjenaya Swami Temple (9km) :Located on a hillock known as Raagi Gudda (Maize Mountain,) the Hanuman temple attracts large numbers of devotees from south Bangalore. In addition to being a place of worship, it has now been transformed into a cultural, educational and social service project including free medical checkup, free education, book bank and free coaching for students, meditation centres, yoga, music and Veda reading, library and choultry. Three huge rocks representing Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva are added attractions at this temple. A unique feature of Hanuman Jayanthi celebrations here is the educational exhibition organised here with different themes.
Shiva Temple : The 65ft. Shiva statue, with an artificial pond resembling the Manasa Sarovar Lake, and caves with the replicas of Jyothirlingas are a major tourist attraction.
Prasanna Anjaneya Temple : Situated on a hillock, the temple bears a 22ft. high block granite statue of Lord Hanuman.
Dodda Ganapathi Temple: A huge monolithic statue of Gapnapati, which attracts thousands of devotees every day. One of the oldest temples of Bangalore.
Bugle Rock: This rock stands as a mute witness to the bygone era of the founder of Bangalore, when it served as the watchtower and incase of any attack, a bugle call from here alerted the inhabitants of the town.
Sri Gavi Gangadareshwara Temple: A unique phenomenon of this cave temple is the sunlight passes through the horns of the bull to light up the Gavi Ganagadareshwara idol on the day of Makara Sankranthi i.e. January 14th or 15th every year.
Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium: The sky threatre with a dome of fifteen metres in diameter attracts all the amateur astronomers and the commoners to this Planetarium, founded in 1989 to commemorate the birth centenary of Jawaharlal Nehru, the First Prime Minister of India.
Musical Fountain: Another attraction opposite the planetarium is the musical fountain and its dancing waters. The Bangalore Palace: Modeled after the Windsor Palace, this beautiful granite palace was built by the Wodeyars, the erstwhile rulers of Mysore

ISKCON Temple: A blend of modern technology and spiritual harmony is the Hare Krishna Temple, built on the hillock with a panoramic beauty, which attracts thousands of devotees.
Tipu Sultan's Fort and Palace: A very small portion of the mud fort built by Hyder Ali and his son Tipu Sultan, stands to this day, which is a far cry from the original. But the summer Palace of the great hero, Tipu Sultan, built in wood and ornately decorated, remains untouched by the vagaries of time.
Venkataramanswamy Temple: This ancient temple built by Maharaja Chikka Devaraya Wodeyar, situated next to the summer palace of Tipu Sultan, is a fine example of Dravidian architecture.

Mayo Hall : Mayo hall was designed in the memory of Lord Mayo and is as one of the finest designs of British architecture

Sheshadri Iyer Memorial Hall : This houses the State Central Library and is named after Sir Sheshadri iyer, who was the Dewan of Mysore. This place has a rich collection of reference books.

Thavakkal Mastan Saab Dargah: This Durgah of the Sufi saint Thavakkal Mastan is associated with the Karagega festival as the procession always stops to pay respects before it proceeds to the temple of Dharmaraya. A true symbol of the unity that exists amongst the people of different faiths.
Infant Jesus Church: The Infant Jesus Church in Viveknagar is another world famous wonder, which attracts thousands of devotees from all castes, creeds and religions for thanks giving and rejoicing.
Brindavan, Whitefield (18km) : It is synonymous with the Ashram of Sri Satya Sai Baba, which is thronged by devotees from the world over.
International Tech Park: Located at Whitefield, it is most modern and successful software tech park, acting as the frontline Institution for export oriented software units, thus emphasizing the status of Bangalore as the IT capital, as also the Silicon Valley of India.
Ulsoor Lake: This lake is the heart of the city which attracts people for its boat rides and its picturesque tiny islands. The Someshwara Temple, built by Kempegowda is located nearby.

St Patrick's church: Built in 1844 this is one of the oldest churches in Bangalore and is situated on Brigade road.

St. Mary's Basilica: Abbe Dubois, a French missionary built a small chapel in 1818 and later this was transformed into a huge Gothic style church by Rev. Kleiner in 1882 which is decorated with stained glass from Europe. The Church was given the status of a Basilica in 1973 through a papal order by Pope John Paul IV..

Bannerghatta National Park (22km) : Located approximately 22 kms away from Bangalore, this park has a mini zoo, Elephant ride, lion and tiger safari and crocodile farm.
Nandi Hills (60km) : This picturesque little hill station, which offers a breathtaking tanoramic view of the surrounding area, is located at 60 kms from Bangalore. It is a popular pinic spot.
Hesaraghatta : It is known for its artificial lake with wind surfing and boating facilities. Located approximately 25 kms away from Bangalore.
Nrityagrama : A winner of the rural architecture award, this unique experimental village is dedicated to the gurukula tradition of dance, music, choreography and painting. Vasantha Habba, the annual fest attracts large crowds. Located at 28 kms from Bangalore.
Ghati Subramanya : Located at 52 kms from Bangalore. This pilgrimage center is famous for the Lord Subramanya temple.
Savanadurga : A towering granite hill, 1207 mtrs high, with a circumference of 10 kms at the base, this hill a trekkers paradise. Located approximately 61 kms from Bangalore.
Anapada Loka : Located at 53 kms from Bangalore, it is an effort to wards the preservation and promotion of folk culture and traditions. Sprawling across 15 acres, the complex has an art gallery, an open air theatre and a museum.
Shivanasamudra : 122 kms. to the south of Bangalore, where the river Cauvery cascades into two water falls, the Gaganachukki and the Bharachukki from a height of 90 mtrs. A Hydro Electric power station is also situated here.
Big Banyan Tree (28km) : The huge banyan tree sprawling over a few acres in Ramohalli village is a botanical wonder. It is also a great picnic spot.
Ramnagaram : This rocky land is an important silk cocoon-marketing center, 49 kms from Bangalore. The popular Hindi movie sholay was shot here.
Channapattana : Famous for its wooden toys and silks. It is located at 58 kms on the way to Mysore.
Sangama (98km) : A confluence of three rivers and a place of great science beauty. It is located at 82 kms from Bangalore.
Mekedatu (98km) : The river Cauvery flows through a deep gorge making it very beautiful picnic spot, Located approximately 86 kms away from Bangalore.
Pearl Valley (38km) : Another famous picnic spot with its water falls and its verdant surroundings, Located at 40 kms from Bangalore.
Shivagange : This cone shaped hill offers a breathtaking view from a top. Also known for the shrines of Gangadareshwara and Honnadevi. It is 60 kms from Bangalore.
Devarayanadurga : This hillock is famous for the natural water spring called Namada Chilume and is at 71 kms from Bangalore.
Siddara Betta : This place is a treasure trove of natural wonders, with many caves and medicinal herbs, On top of the hillock a natural spring with ice cold water gushes out & it has medicinal value. A temple in its vicinity attracts a lots of pilgrims, Located at 100 kms from Bangalore.

Goravanahalli Mahalaxmi Temple : This unique and ancient temple attracts many a pilgrims, Located at 85 kms from Bangalore.
